Talk about a really crazy evening! Last night was a blast. I went to my friend Jenn’s party in Queens… It’s not often that I’m out there and I dont get to see Jenn that often so I thought it’d be cool… Being recently single, she told me that she was inviting a few single friends, so of course I was hopefull of meeting someone, but certainly wasn’t prepared for what the night offtered.

I felt like such a man-whore at the party. It was pretty cool… I looked at myself like I did my old roomate, Vince…. He was always a womanizer and readily picked up women using nothing but a glass of cranberry juice and his charm. I totally felt like him as I met two awesome girls at the party.

Now, I know what you’re thinking. The ultimate male fantasy, but no, it wasn’t like that… I did hook up with both of them, but not at the same time and there was no sex involved… It was a night of harmless fun. They were both cool, but I am more fond of Jill. She is cool, cute, intelligent, and passionate….

Halloween 2003

Posted on November 1, 2003 by jaypoc

Halloween was really cool this year and it’s not over yet.

It all started at Wal-Mart! I showed up at work and walked in wearing the Duck suit and a Wal-Mart vest (Thanks to one of the assistant managers for supplying me with a 2XL vest to wear over the suit!)

For the better part of the day I wore my Rennaisance/Medieval outfit… Complete with a sword I made myself.

I grabbed a $2 sword that we sold in Wally World… All plastic… Shiny silver blade. I picked up a Bronzing kit and sponge painted the hilt of the sword gold. To top it off, I wrapped the handle with leather lacing and viola… Realistic looking sword sub $10!

Work was word as usual, though we all did have a lot of fun.

Later on, I headed out with Laura and Vinny…. Laura went wearing an original series Star Trek uniform complete with ultra tight/short skirt (heehee). Vinny didnt have a costume, so we raided Laura’s closet and pulled a purple velvet cloak and surprised Vinny when he got there with a black shirt, his black pants and the cloak. It looked great!

We went to dinner at Palmers restaurant (Excellent food and reasonably priced!) and headed back to Laura’s to hang a while…

Tonight I’m headed to my friend Jenn’s in Queens for a Haloween party… Looking foward to it…Sporting the medieval look again tonight…

Well, I just spoke with Tracey and we brought closure to our relationship. We both feel that things weren’t working out, but I dont think we agree on the reasons. She sees that we are right for eachother but haven’t had the chance to be ourselves or accept eachother for who we were. I think it was more of a case of we were not right for eachother which led to our not being ourselves or acceptinge achother. Either way, we agreed that if we were right that our timing was off and things, for whatever reason, weren’t working out.

I am both happy to be out of the relationship and sad about it. It’s a sigh of relief and a bit of grief all bundled together… I try to stay optimistic… for Tracey and for myself.

Went to the oyster festival today with Dave and Kerry… We got there in the early afternoon and started walking around unaware that they changed things a bit since last year. We wandered the streets, “looking for the fair” for a good half hour. We figured that because it was rainy earlier that there weren’t that many people there. We decided to walk back towards the rides and carnival area when we saw the sign for the food pavillion ahead.

Previously, vendors and food shops set up in the streets of the town. Aparently they decided to set up by the docs in teh large parking area…. They had everything there including Hand-dipped Fried oreos. If you haven’t had these before, you HAVE to try them. Basically, they’re Oreo cookies dipped in Zepoli batter and then deep fried. The end result is a completely chewy/chocolaty/creamy cookie in zepoli batter with powdered sugar on top! So good! and I’m not an Oreo lover.

Also had some Hot Wings and what would an Oyster Festival be without seafood, so I got a dozen steamed clams… Yummm! They had lobster there too (my fav) which I passed up….

We had a great time. Next week is gonna be great. I’ll be at the 2003 Auto Expo… I’ll bring the camera and get some good pics.

Okay, so I called Dell and got through to their only sensible technician. Rather than have me reinstall windows after formatting (as the email techs recommended), he actually helped me correct the settings (Why Dell changed them in the first place is beyond me!)… All is well, with the video anyways! I should get the WiFi card on Monday!
