My birthday is over in 27 minutes.

Posted on January 29, 2006 by jaypoc

It’s been an exhausting weeked. Last night was my annual birthday bash, dubbed Jaypoc Con. We had a great turnout of about 50 people altogether. We started the festivities at Green Field, the all-you-can-eat Brazilian BBQ in Farmingdale. The restaurant was very accomodating and except for a few small snafus, which were all addressed and resolved, the night went very well.

About half the party called it a night and the other half headed out to Paddy’s Loft, a small bar/restaurant in Massapequa, for cake and drinks. Coming from the bar-area to the restaurant, a few of my friends had the pleasure of watching me take a nice dive down the stairs. You’d think I had started drinking but was still carrying my first drink at the time. I met up with some more friends who couldn’t attend the dinner, and started my serious drinking. Most of my guests left from Paddy’s but the night was not over.

Myself and Liz (A friend of mine who’s birthday was a week earlier and was cellebrating with me) and a handfull of people went to TGIFridays to continue drinking. After a few shots and a few more drinks, we all headed to a diner for breakfast/late night munchies.

Over all, the evening was a lot of fun. Next year is going to have to be big. The first 3 JaypocCon’s were at restaurants, The 4th was at Medieval Times, and last year was in Atlantic City. This year, we kept it local with the events listed above, and next year we need to top it all.

So far, there’s 2 ideas that are being considered. There’s no place to party like Las Vegas! The strip, the nightlife, the shows, the casino, and so much more. I was there for 4 days a while back and it wasn’t nearly enough time to do and see everything. Vegas would be cool, but very expensive over all and we wouldn’t have as big of a turnout as if we went with the second idea. JaypocAIR! Why party on earth when you can get away for a while! Giving everyone an opportunity to join the Mile High Club! I’m currently looking into chartering a small to medium sized airplane for a group of 15 to 20 people (or more if the budget allows) If the price is right, we’ll be doin’ air-donuts over long island and partying our asses off.

So if you live that close, why don’t we hang out? lol.. I actually grew up near there… In the 3-story house across from the Hospital on 105. My grandfather was a dentist, and had the office on the ground level and basement and my parents and I lived upstairs. Was there for part of 1st grade when I moved to Plainview where I am for another week or 2.

Had I stayed, we would have gone to school together… Hmm

Quite right! I’m headed there for my birthday! Also.. If it does turn into a Vegas trip, I’d love to attend (If allowed that is.). Let me know. I’m actually pretty close to Vegas. Only in Utah!

If you’ve seen everything in Vegas in only 4 days, you don’t know what you’re missing!

As of now, I’m thinking vegas…. Corporate Jets are about $20,000.00 🙂

Smaller Jets are around $4000.00 or so.. I don’t think many of my friends would want to shell out $400+ to fly around LI for dinner 🙂
