Wow, I was a little off… My anniversary of moving into my place is March 10th. My bad…Cool! I get to get excited about it again in a month! hehe

Today marks 3 special occaisions.

It’s my brother’s 22nd birthday, so I’m heading out to my parent’s house to cellebrate over dinner. I doubt he reads this, but if he does, Happy Birthday Bro… (Shit I need to pick up a gift!)

My High School radio station turned 35 today! The teacher who kept it alive has been there 17 years and he is a great teacher, mentor and friend. It’s great to see how his students young and old show him respect, and how he returns that respect back to them. It was great seeing both old and new faces there and I got a kick out of seeing yet another High School radio program being put on live. Working for a commercial radio station part time, it’s not odd for me to be in the studios during a broadcast, but watching students in the same seats that I began in was a real treat. And okay, it’s not the SAME seats! A few years after I left they moved the station upstairs and re-built the studios and I have to say they look great! Very 90210-esq as the studio window faces the main hallway of the school.

Finally, It’s the anniversary of my living in my own place. I may be a day off, I can’t remember if it was Feb 8th, 9th or 10th, but one year ago, I spent my first (and every following) night in my home in North Babylon. It’s kind of crazy to think that I’ve settled in and even now, I’m still thinking about things I can do to better off the place. I have done so much from Painting, Furnishing and Decorating, and have more ideas that I would like to put together at some point. Still on the to-do list is a Media Center PC or Networked Media Player in the livingroom, Webcam(s), Somewhere to hang my pictures/autographs (Not too keen on where they are now), and I still want to re-do the Kitchen and Bathroom flooring, but those will all have to wait. I have plenty of time. and best of all, there’s only 19 years left on my mortgage! lol.. Ummm.. 19.. years.. ugh.. lol

So yesterday at work I was starting to feel a but squeemish. Some of the monitors there are in poor shape or won’t adjust to higher refresh rates, so sometimes they make my eyes strain and give me headaches, so I attributed my queasyness to that. It was off and on, but none the less, I somehow decided that White Castle was a good idea for a late night dinner. Well, after spending $12 on White Castle, I think I managed to scarf down about $3 worth and tossed the rest. Not that I don’t like belly-bombers, I love em, but I just didn’t feel right.

After waking up every hour to run to the bathroom, I wasn’t sure if I was feeling sick, or just tired from being up most of the night. I checked my temperature.. an even 100 but decided to take some tylenol and get my ass to work anyways. I skipped my usual breakfast for a few bagels and a chocolate milk. Now, I’m just gonna relax, watch some TV and pray that I feel okay tomorrow!

In the morning, is the anniversary of my High School’s radio station. The station is probably the only fond memory I have of high school. It assisted me in meeting some of my good friends today and is the background that got me into radio as I have been doing for over 10 years now part-time. I was asked to speak at the event, but I have nothing to say. While I have been in radio for 10 years, I’m only involved in promotions. It’s a part time gig, with little to no future. I do it for fun, and thats about it. I definitely want to check out the new station though. They re-built it a few years ago and I have not been back to see it (probably because HS security doesn’t usually like me there- and I honestly don’t know why. I caused my share of trouble, but nothing that bad to claim me a liability.)

For some odd reason, I suddenly want to go see Rocky Horror (preferably in NYC)…
