Masters of Illusion Live

Posted on February 8, 2014 by jaypoc

Last night, I attended the Masters of Illusion Live show at the New York Community Bank Theater in Westbury, NY. I got to witness the magic of Drexus, Farrell Dillon, and Rick Thomas. Overall the show was excellent, though it wasn’t without its glitches.

Rick Thomas started off the show with a variant of The Aztec Lady, an effect originated by magician Robert Harbin sometime around the 1930’s. Magical Weekend with Jeff McBride

Jeff performed his Vegas-style show in a small theater that held around a hundred people. To see that caliber of a show close up was incredible.

I shoot photos for the station, so I had my camera on me. I have tons of pics from the event (I’ll post some on here over the next few days) but I got a chance to meet Criss Angel, and I have to say I was impressed.
