Posted on June 6, 2004 by jaypoc

Just got in from the city…Went with Dave an Kerry to see the latest installment of Harry Potter… As usual, the movie was great and the best part was it was HUGE! 8-Stories huge as we saw it at the IMAX! What a great way to see a movie! I don’t even mind the fact that I have to be at work in 4 hours 🙂 I’ll just sleep after work 🙂

Matty T’s Sucks

Posted on June 4, 2004 by jaypoc

Just got in from hanging with … We went to Matty T’s in Deer Park… It’s a hole-in-the-wall country bar, though we went because it was Karaoke night……

I have to say, the place needs a lot of work. The First of all, half the place seems to be falling apart. There’s a banister thats falling apart and I felt like it was going to fall over when I leaned upon it… The pool table is stuck in the corner, and you need to use miniature pool cues just to hit the balls from certain angled because of the walls.

I ordered my specialty there, Wings…. Hot wings and a coke, and I got what looked like 10 mini-wings (pidgeon wings) and a coke for $8.50.. What the fuck is that?

Now for the music, You’d hope that on Karaoke night there’d be some decent music, people singing and having fun, etc… People were going up to sing, but nobody was really into it. Plus, the music consisted of mostly country music and slow love songs, which were enought to put me asleep…

On a scale of 1 to 10, I give Matty T’s a 3 … and then only because the drinks were decent.

I came, I saw…

Posted on June 2, 2004 by jaypoc

Just got my digital prints from my cruise back from the Photo Lab. I don’t remember if I posted what happened the other day, but I brought my CF card to Wal-Mart to develop them there (and to say hi to my coworkers) and their machine couldn’t read the 256MB CF card. (Imagine if I had only my 1GB card!)

Anyways.. I brought the film to the local photo lab… where I usually go for film developing… The prints came out pretty good. I joined their “club” so I got 30 of them for free and only have to pay $0.25 per print. Gloss or Matte…

I had 95 pictures printed and picked out 72 of them (because thats what the Carnival Cruise photo album I picked up holds 😉

It took about a half hour to sort them and decide who made the cut and who didn’t 😉

It came out good. Next time you come over my place, I can bore you with pictures from my trip 🙂
