Wing Night Returns!

Posted on July 19, 2004 by jaypoc

It’s been a few years since the whole gang gathered together at the Salty Dog for Monday-Night wings and drinking! I’m thinking of bringing the tradition back (and gonna try to get the old gang back together as much as possible)

I’m not ignoring you

Posted on July 19, 2004 by jaypoc

A friend of mine complained that she feels that I’m ignoring her lately. I’m not, at least no more than I’m ignoring any other of my friends… I don’t quite know why she feels this way either.. We just went out 2 days ago. Most of my friends I only get to see once every two weeks or so (if that)…

If you read this (and you know who you are), don’t feel bad…

You’re not the only person to feel this way lately either… I had a few people check up on me cuz I havent updated my LJ in a while or haven’t called them. You’re just the only one who’s put it like you did.

Shock

Imagine the feeling, when you’re one block from work, Have only a few minutes to get there and realize the seam on your pants is split from your balls to your ass!!!! lol

BBQ Blues

Posted on July 10, 2004 by jaypoc

Had a great time at the BBQ today with Chris, Keivan and the whole gang..Hell, even got some Geocaching done while out there but the real adventure was getting out to the park in the first place!

First of all, I woke up at 8 just to get ready for Chris to pick me up at 9:30… I called him and promptly realized that it was only 8:30! I had set my alarm foward an hour while snoozing or something yesterday! lol. So he agrees to pick me up and we went to pick up his G/F from the car dealership. We get a phonecall that they forgot a few things for the BBQ… Water, Grill Brush, Spatula, etc… so we head out to get that stuff…A few more delays but we’re on our way…..

Just before Commack Road (on the Long Island Expressway) we notice Chris’s car making some foul noises. (We noticed it slightly earlier but it was getting much louder!)….Like a really nasty knocking in the engine…. We pulled off to the side and there was smoke coming out from under the hood and the car kept stalling…

We managed to get it into a parking lot and called K to come pick us up….

To make a long story short, we got back to Plainview and got another car and headed out to the BBQ. It was a lot of fun, and we got a tow truck in under a half hour when we went back for the car… Definitely an eventfull day.

Work again tomorrow 🙁 Oh well….

Show some support

Posted on July 9, 2004 by jaypoc

A friend of mine emailed me about a petition being put together to support the 11 people who died during last years Staten Island ferry crash. His cousin’s fiance’s first cousin was among those 11 people. Their families are protesting the decision to put the ferry back in service. If you’d like to help support their cause, go ahead and sign this petition
