Anybody up for Game-Night?

Posted on October 28, 2004 by jaypoc

I just recieved an order I placed from Amazon. I added two games to my arsenal of boredom-fighting weaponry.

SET and QUIDDLER!

Set is the Family Game of Visual Perception. The idea is to match up three cards that make up a “set”. By set, it means any three cards with either all the same characteristics or all different characteristics. It’s not as easy as it sounds, and can be mind boggling fun!

Quiddler is a rummy-like word-game where players attempt to build words using the cards and get the highest score possible.

Both games have online puzzles that you can play daily at SetGame.com.

So, Who’s up for a game night? 🙂

I get out of work at 2:30. It’s almost 5:00. I’ve been sitting in bed playing on the computer for 2 hours. I’m STILL wearing my badge for work,

Weeeeeeeeeeeeekend

Posted on October 25, 2004 by jaypoc

It’s been a long busy weekend.

Thursday night I went out with Janice and we found ourselves scourying a theatre looking for a murderer in the first real Dungeons and Dragons game I’ve played in about 10 years. Despite us both having to work the next day, we were out till about 1:30 or so.

Friday morning I had to wake early to work for the Radio Station. Crew call was at 8:00 AM. The afternoon was spent resting and relaxing. FInished off the evening taking Haze to the vet and then going out for dinner with my parents.

Saturday I went to Great Adventure with Scotto, Liz and Scott’s cousin’s. We had a blash at fright fest, though the park was crowded as hell. We only got to go on two rides… Batman and the Scream Machine… We wanted to go on Superman, but the line was horrendous. We later heard that some people waited 4 to 5 hours to get on. Thats absurd!

Sunday I had work at 6 AM. NOT fun when you get home at 2:00 AM but after a good 2 hours of sleep I made it in. I won an MP3 player for the best Sci-Fi costume (or the only sci-fi costume) during their ‘Customer Service’ cellebration week. I got it. It’s a Creative Nomad MuVo 64mb Flash MP3 player. It’s pretty cool. Not the 30GB one I was hoping for, but it’ll do. lol….

Sunday after work… Sleep Sleep Sleep!

Sunday night, I headed to Bayville for the Haunted Firehouse. I go every year with Christina and co, though this year flooding on the south shore prevented Christina and her husband Kevin from coming out. Scott and Liz (from the night before) came along so I didnt have to go through it alone (too scary! heh). As usual, it was a great show! Can’t wait for next year!

I’m back to my regular routine….
