Dell customer support is just STUPID!
1. I used their online chat application. Chose the “Order Status” option. Kylie from Dell said, “You will need to call our 800 number at 1-800-…” WTF! Why offer an order status option if you cant access order information.
2. I called the 800 number and an indian woman told me, “Your item will ship on Dec. 30th”. DUH! It IS Dec 30th… She insisted it would be sent tonight but would NOT send me email confirmation of this. She said maybe another dept could get me confirmation.
3. I called Dell Small Business at the # and extension given to me by bitch Dell Home. They said the order was placed through Dell Home and I had to call them (eek!). SO! I asked politely if she could PLEEEEEASE help me as the people at Home are idiots and she looked up the item on order and confirmed that it was on back-order and would not be shipped tonight.
All this on top of the fact that nobody at Dell told me that they were out of stock. I ordered this item from them because they had it and the actual manufacturer was out of stock! I ordered the item from DELL on the 15th. The manufacturer has been in-stock since the 20th.
