It’s been a Looooooooong weekend…. But a fun one! I had a blast. My friend Tracey that I met online, and her friend Norma, came up to NY to visit… It was a wild weekend….

FRIDAY- We went out to dinner at applebees, hit Jillians for some gaming… I couldn’t get her on Dance Dance Revolution at this point… We saw Freddy got Fingered… HYSTERICAL movie! I was rollin’ but I think she was squirming a bit…Norma was able to handle the gruesome comedy of Tom Greene a bit better I think…. Finished up the night at Lilly Flannegans (Is that how it’s spelled?) where I ran into Jamy (Poley) an old friend from my Donuts days as well as his g/f and her sister.

Well… SATURDAY we cruised around L.I for a while and met up with my friend Chris for his birthday cellebration…. Tons of us there… Chris, his sister, The Big V (no, she’s actually quite fit), Scotto, Special K and his g/f shirley… Pat and Dave, Christina and her b/f Kevin… 2 people I don’t know and we met up with Jackie, Pat’s g/f and some chick that I don’t know… The evening started out at Greenfields, that’s ‘ALL YOU CAN EAT MEAT!!!!!!! ” [said in a manly voice] Then we went into NYC to Times Square to hang out at BarCode. Awesome place, and I’m so proud of Tracey…. She actually got up and tried DDR…and secretly, I doubt she’ll admit it but she liked it!

SUNDAY was cool. We went into the city. After driving around central park for an hour we finally found a cheap parking garage and checked in for the day. (was like $25). We went for a walk around central park, and I have to admit… I had no idea it was that cool! It was just a cool place… so much culture, so much art, such beautiful landscape, i feel cheesy saying all this, but it was absolutely incredible to think that all that could be in the middle of a huge city like New York. After gettin’ lost in central park we headed the Warner Brothers store at which Norma spent about 3 years sallaries on stuff…. yes, just stuff… stuff for friends, stuff for family, even stuff for me as I later found out! We met up with another friend of Traceys from online and stuff and went to the Starlight diner (or is it stargazer or starstruck? whatever! The diner where there waiters and waitresses sing to you and stuff… It was pretty cool. Finally we ended the night back at my place chillin’ in the hot tub all night. And in case your wondering, sure It may not have been a completely innocent evening between tracey and me… Could have been even crazier, but even I wouldn’t go there with Norma around.

MONDAY was our last day together. I took off work to spend more time with Tracey and Norma…. After NY bagels at Bagel Boss, We went to Battery Park and caught the Ferry to the Statue of Liberty. Once again, I was completely impressed. You’d be surprised what you’ll find near you when you do these touristy things! really cool once again. Well, We finished up our touring with Rockefeller Center, Apollo’s Ass (inside joke), The Cathedral and more shopping around Times Square.. Ended the evening .
meeting up with Tina and Phil, another newlywed couple (of 6 mo’s) who’s love for eachother grew despite a long distance relationship…. That and another party in the hot tub.. This time just me and tracey.,

…. I Behaved…

…for the most part

BTW – I totally forgot to say that I actually did like DDR. I mean it’s a bit nerve wracking to know you look like a completely uncoordinated moron and to know that everyone in the building is crowding around you to watch. I’m sure I would have stopped to watch if I saw this uncoordinated person trying to dance alongside someone who could do all the steps and even add in some of their own. I think there was only a crowd of about 50 though so I only turned a shade of light purple with my embarassment. 😛
I’m glad to know that Jason is proud of me though ….
