Does anybody want the domain names DDRLI.COM or LIDDR.com?

I don’t think I’m going to renew them. It’s coming up soon so if you can use em I’ll transfer them to you. If not, they’ll go back on the market to anybody who wants them

Kevin Smith succeeded in re-creating the magic of the silver screen that was experienced more than 10 years ago in his 1994 hit, Clerks.

I just got back in from seeing Clerks II and I admit, I feared that the new Clerks couldn’t live up to the classic that if you haven’t seen, you best head to blockbuster right now. I started to get the feeling that it had more of a pop-culture/teenie-flick feel to it. But I was wrong. I couldn’t have been more wrong.

Clerks II welcoms back Dante and Randal, Jay and Silent Bob and gives us a story of broken dreams, love, bestiality (umm interspecies erotica), manginas, and new beginnings. Even if you haven’t seen the original Clerks, Clerks II is chock full of the swift, slick, sick and demented humor that assures you’ll be hunched over in pain from laughing so hard.

Do yourself a favor and head to the movies. This is a must see!

    WTF!

It’s weird how things happen sometimes. I work part time for a local radio station. We have 3 sister stations in the same building, but while we swap occaisionally, we all have our own crews. I just happened to talk to one of the guys from the other station as they were getting back from an event at a Harley dealership. Guess who was there.. Chris Angel, so I headed down. I shoot photos for the station, so I had my camera on me. I have tons of pics from the event (I’ll post some on here over the next few days) but I got a chance to meet Chris Angel, and I have to say I was impressed.

Unfortunately, he didn’t do any magic while I was there (He was there for a charity bike ride. He was scheduled to ride out at 5, but had sooo many fans there that he didn’t get out until about 7:30. Now, he didn’t rush a single fan. He took time to sign, take pictures, etc…

He really went out of his way to try to give time to his fans, offering to sign anything they had, or had bought there. The coolest was when a young girl, maybe 10 or 11 years old came up wearing a self-made Mindfreak T-Shirt. She had Chris sign a poster and a card, and Chris offered to sign her shirt. She was taken aback, and let him sign in and the look on her face as she turned the corner away from him was priceless! I wish I had the camera ready at that moment.

I spent a bit of time listening and talking to Chris’s mother who has to be among the sweetest nicest women I have met. She was there supporting Chris and seemed to be having a genuine good time herself. She was spotted floating all around, talking to fans and being a great sport to everyone as well.

I also got to meet and talk with Scott Interrante, another local magician and friend of Chris Angel’s who showed me some brief pointers and took a pic of me with Chris after the event and before heading out.

It was a good time. I wish I could have headed up to the bar where Chris and the rest of the bikers were hanging out tonight, who knows if they were just hanging or maybe filming some bits for the special (There were a few guys with pro cameras there). Good magician or bad magician, Chris was truly magical to his fans, whom he didn’t let down one bit.

It’s refreshing to see that he hasn’t let his fame and popularity get to his head. He’s still a down to earth and friendly guy!
