I recently enrolled for access to the company’s fitness center. It’s great having access to a full featured gym. They have 2 facilities and the one I went to is nice! I’m looking foward to getting back there. I have a few pounds to take care of!

You realize that people suck and that you’re an idiot when you do the following:

Pull into a Sunoco gas station. Hop out and swipe your credit card. Begin pumping gas. Notice gas prices are rediculous. Notice gas prices cheaper on the other pump. Notice that your on a full serve pump and the attendant never came out to help you because you started to pump yourself. Take off and refuse to sell them the full tank that you were going to because they cashed in on my stupidity.
And I thought that full serve in Nassau was dead.

Women! Can’t live with em and can’t put em in the woodchipper…. Least that’s what a friend of mine used to say. Quite amusing, in a disturbing sort of way… I wanted to leave around 6 to head into Queens for my friend Laura’s birthday. I was supposed to pick up Marisa on my way, but she got held up and didn’t get home until just a little while ago (I assume because I see her online but away). I’m off to queens and hopefully to pick up Marisa on the way!

I hate to dissapoint the 2 lovely ladies battling for me, but according to this, gi_jaime has my heart. lol

The dynamic duo of radio, Opie and Anthony, are back on the air after their two year break from the job that they love. In cellebration (and since I didn’t see the new designs on their website) I created a WOW sticker design. Go ahead and print it and post it proudly in your back windshield!

Sci-Fi day at work was a success. It turned out that I was the only dork there to dress in a full costume. You may think that makes me “odd” or an outcast… and you may be right, however it has it’s benefits. Aparently, They’re awarding a Nomad MP3 player to the best sci-fi costume, and seeing as I was the only dork dressed up, theres a very good chance that I’ll win it. It all depends on if anyone in the night/overnight shifts came in dressed up.

Today was great as well. It was Sports and Dessert day. Those of you who know me, know that I am not into sports, but what I lack there, I made up in the dessert category! We were to bring in some dessert for all to share. I decided to make Jell-o. Lemon Jell-o. With tootsie rolls in it. Served in a training potty. (Thanks Dave!)

The reactions were priceless… Some people were horrified and others were hysterical. Some thought it was demented and sick, but the same people also thought it was hysterically funny and awesome.

Work is having this “Scool-spirit” like event all week. We’re being asked to come in dressed as different things. For example, Today was PJ day so people were allowed to come in wearing their pajamas. I didn’t wear pajamas, however I did wear my doggie slippers.

Tomorrow is Sci-Fi day, so I did what I HAD to do,…

I set out to work on the Asshole (Spaceballs Character) costume I began a few weeks ago. First of all , I had finished cutting out the helmet, but it needed to be repaired, and finished. I picked up some BONDO and went to work fixing the cracked part of the helmet. I sanded everything down and gave it a coat of primer…

I then headed out to work on the costume. It was no easy task. I went to a few hardware and crafts stores and tried to find a white jumpsuit. The closest thing I could find was a “disposable” painter’s jumpsuit. It’s one piece, all white, and zippers down the front. It’s not 100% authentic, but close enough. I figure it will do. I also picked up a belt and a black turtle-neck shirt from Sears…

I headed back home to finish the helmet. I gave it a coat of white paint and glued a head-piece in. I don’t even know if it’s lined up right, but we’ll find out tomorrow morning when I put it on. If all goes well, I’ll be an asshole at work tomorrow

This whole costume is getting rather expensive.

$35 at the hardware store
$60 at Sears
$5 at a crafts/hobby shop
$10 at a paint supply shop
TOTAL: $110 today alone

This isn’t counting the $35 for the lamp I used to make the helmet or the $20 in tools I bought to cut out the face of the helmet

I’ve still got a lot to do to truly complete the costume, but for now it’s usable

Just in and I can play with my new ROMS. This morning, I woke up to find my 10 GB download of MAME rom files completed… I spent a better part of the day installing the latest version of Mame 32 (Version 0.87) and now I can sit around and play video games for approximately 6 years non-stop. rofl. It’s time I start planning to build a cabinet.
