Having a blast on the trip…Met a few people on the excursions taken earlier in the week and actually started socializing a bit.. .Had a lot of fun. Last night got wrecked in the piano bar. Ed Rocks kicks ass…. Then headed to the dance club. Actually got up and danced with this chick I met there..My parents would be proud. Mom’s been trying to get me on the dance floor since the first night, and I just dont dance unless I’m really drunk or in certain company (or when given the opportunity by an attractive blonde)

We’re back on route to Miami and the end of our journey. Tomorrow is our last day on ship I believe.. Thought there were 2 days, but we’re awfully close.

Last night was cool. We’ve been spending our evenings in the Piano Bar… The singer/pianist, Ed Rocks, is awesome…Then headed over to the dance club here where I got a good taste of NY club culture. Some guy went up to this couple dancing and almost instantly started a brawl right there on the dancefloor. Everyone broke it up right away, It was great. Then the girl, who was trying to calm down her boyfriend got worked up herself and nearly got into a fight with one of the other girls there. It was great amusement :)

    Kids! lol

Spent the day running around, playing with my 10D… Got lots of pictures. They’ll be posted to the site when I retuen.

Yesterday was a good day though somewhat of a letdown. I did, however find my first Geocache outside of the USA. Was a virtual cache in St. Marten. Cool find. It’s so much more interesting when you have a virtual tour guide, like the GPS to take you around on your own.

We went on the 4×4 Jeep Safari, which turned out to be, you drive around town in a jeep and stop at a photo point, a shopping plaza and a beach (a topless beach too… With the exception of 2 or 3 attractive women, you don’t want to see the boobs you got to see. I would have taken a picture with the new camera, but I didn’t want to break the lens ;)

We made a stop in St. Thomas… I woke up early and we took a ride into town to do some shopping. I got a decent deal on the Canon EOS 10D, a professional digital SLR camera. One I’ve been trying to get for about 2 years (since I was working as a photographer)

Afterwards, we went on a Mini-boat excursion in the Carribean Sea… There were 2 people to a boat, but since we had an uneven number and I was the only single person there, I got my own boat. (I guess it pays to be single sometimes!)

The boat was a bit sluggish heading out, but coming back it kicked ass. They said it was one of their fastest mini-boats but it had a lot trouble in the wavy water.

So much has been happening that I havent had a chance to post in a while. I’ll break this into smaller posts….I’ve been having a lot of fun.

Horseback riding was cool. We followed trails through the rainforst at night. I had a horse who’s name meant “Little Seed”…It’s name should have been “I don’t listen” lol…

We got to a point by one of the last rivers that is still untouched by man in the area and had a marshmallow roast. After that we headed back. It was a beautiful night and despite the fear of rain, we lucked out.

It’s day 3 here. Day 2 was somewhat better, and tonight should kick ass. I’ll be going Horseback riding through the Rain Forest in Puerto Rico at night… I’m really looking foward to it.

People ask me if I’m having a good time, and I am, though there’s a lot of “down” time. I’m here with my family, and I find my self fending for myself most of the time. Those who know me, know that I’m shy and am not very good at approaching others, so I spend most of my evenings either with my family or sitting alone in the clubs and bars on the ship. I’d love to just go out on the dance floor, but without friends and a lot of alcohol (Theres plenty of alcohol, but thats just not enough) I am still very self-concious.

The next few days will be spent sightseeing and having fun on the islands. I’m sugned up for mini-boats in St. Maarten and 4×4 off-roading in St. Thomas….I may even try to get some geocaching done while down here, though in the areas I’ll be at there’s only 20 caches…We’ll see. I’d like to get one in this week if possible.

    Before I go, I should mention…

    1. The slot machines here dont pay crap, however I won some money on the video poker machines :)

    2. Downloading 900 emails on a less than speedy internet connection SUCKS. lol

It’s nearing the end of the first day. I’m still gonna wander around a bit and see if there’s any decent nightlife on this boat ;) So far, The piano bar seems to be the most hopping place… Like the whole boat went to sleep after dinner…

so far I’ve had fun, but I’m quite unimpressed. There’s a whole lot of stuff going on, but nothin’ super…. Dinner was ok, but we had the worst waiter (and may have him for the rest of the trip. I didn’t, but 3 people in our group sent stuff back because it was either prepared wrong, cold, or both… yes both…

I’m also extremely exhausted… I got only 3 hours of sleep last night, so I’ll probably be more myself tomorrow. There’s so many people on board… Old, Young, and everywhere in between. Plenty of attractive women, but most seem taken, and I am still a wuss and can’t approach the others… I need to find some activities I can do on my own to start socializing a bit more.

Well, there’s some music playin’ next door and I’m gonna check it out after I check my email and stuff :)

    BTW… $55 for 100 minutes on access isn’t bad? ROFL… ACK!

When I go away for 2 or 3 days, I have a tendancy to overpack… I mean EVERYTHING…. Too much clothes, Too many “Gadgets” and “Gizmos”….. Now, this is the first time I’m going away for 7 days…. I feel like I need a small jet just to carry all my stuff. :) What should I be without?

I need clothes….7 T-Shirts, 7 Dress Shirts, 7 pairs of Jeans, 7 Slacks, do I want closer to 7 pairs of underwear or 14? :) Do I own 14 pairs of underwear? I usually have to do a wash every week and a half. I’m sure I have 10 pairs, but is that enough? It’s hot down there. My balls may sweat a lot. rofl….

What about gadgets? Computer(s?), Electronic Toys, Cameras, What to bring?

Can’t bring “The Hammer”…. a.k.a. the ($1000) camcorder that I tripped over and smashed into the ground lens first cracking the lens, and the casing! (Damnit!!!!!!)

What movies should I bring? What books….

Sooo much packing to do and certainly NOT enough time!

Tomorrow’s a busy day! 1. Filling out paperwork for my new job. 2. Working for KJOY. 3. Last minute emergency shopping for stuff I couldn’t find in the laundry or just got too lazy. 4. If I have time, ,bringing in my camcorder for repair.

When do I pack? When do I prepare? When do I sleep!!!!!!!!!

I finally did it! I am no longer an employee of Wal-Mart Stores, Inc….. I am no longer the manager of a department severely understaffed and overworked. I no longer have to put up with the lack of respect granted by the coprporate pigs in the largest discount retailer in the world.

    I am free of Wal-Mart.
