  Interesting occurrance today.

  This morning, for some reason, my Amateur Radio licence was on my mind. I remembered as I was leaving the house that I wanted to check and see if it was time to renew my license. When I got to work, I even asked my friend Dave, if he sees me online, to remind me about it.

  So, I get home. Take in the mail and you wouldn’t believe that I actually had a reminder letter regarding my license renewal. Pretty weird, eh? Cosmic Forces are in tune with me. I should have asked Dave to remind me to look into becoming a billionaire or something

  The day started when I woke up. Surprisingly, I actually felt refreshed… As if I had gotten a full nights sleep. So I got up and headed to work. Grabbed breakfast at the usual Bagle Place (They know my order there when I walk in… Ham, Egg and Cheese on a Roll with Coffee and one of those tiny containers of OJ).

  When I got to work, we were asked to volunteer to take the day off because we were above our quota for payroll. Seeing as I hate the job and most of my critical work was done, I volunteered and left. I headed home eager to take the A+ exam (See my earlier post!)… I met my mother for lunch and then headed out to a Technology Open House… Turned out to be with a recruiter, however she had opportunities with two big companies. One that I REALLY REALLY REALLY wanted to work for but have been unsuccessful so far. I’m hoping to get a call tomorrow… Wish me luck!

  In the evening my mother and I went to Borders to pick up the new A+ guide so I can refresh on the new materials prior to taking the test. I was pleasantly surprised to find a $1 clearance table LOADED with computer books including some on ASP.NET, XML, and WAP….. All stuff I’ve worked with but don’t really own any reference materials on… so $60 got me 7 books… .normally valued around $300 or more.

  Finished the night watching TiVo (Yay the TV works) and playing on There.com …. There is a cool VR/3D environment that offers games, puzzles, chat, etc… Similar to Virtual Places I guess only with better graphics.

  Anyways, I’m tired now and gonna get some sleeeeeeeeeeep g’night

  Okay. I recieved a big screen (51″ I think) from a friend of mine who “didnt have room for it” anymore…. He got it free from some rich family that wanted a new one because one of the tuners (this is one of those tvs with PIP) died. he had the secondary tuner hooked up as the primary and it worked great! Well, I had it and the inputs all started to die… The picture got all messed up and fuzzy. Looked like an old TV does when you adjust the VHOLD.

  Anyways, Tonight it mysteriously started working again. The picture is clear, bright and wonderfull It’s been a good day….

  Okay, It seems that the world is out to get me!

  Work “requested” that we take the day off again. They just aren’t making the sales to warrant us working full time… Bastards! I figured I could take advantage of the situation. I was in a good mood, I was alert after a good nights sleep, I was going to go get my A+ certification today…Schedule to go in the aftrernoon and spend the morning cramming It’s been a few months since I’ve picked up the book.

  Well, I go to sign up and guess what… THEY CHANGED THE FUCKING TEST!..AGAIN!

  I was ready to take the A+ many years ago, but had a stable job with an Internet Service Provider so I “never got around to it”…. Bad idea, as they made the test a bit harder added some new stuff to it. So, when the ISP closed down and I found myself looking for work I realized I needed it. So, I studdied and studdies and studdied… Got another job that took up most of my time and A+ got put to the back-burner. Now, I hate my job and I had an opportunity to take the test so I refreshed. Then called to make the appointment and found out that THEY CHANGED THE TEST AGAIN!

  I took a practice exam and flopped bigtime… I think I got 5 out of 5 wrong already. Stupid stuff too that I just hadn’t gotten much exposure to. So…

  I think I’ll head to Borders and pick up the NEW study guide(s)….

  They better not change the test again before I take it!

  Being a past (and maybe future) web-cam figure, I was shocked today to find out that JenniCAM is no more. JenniCAM is, or I guess I should say was, the most popular personal web-cam site on the net. I guess just as m y life got more hectic, I was unable to maintain my web-cam, so was Jennifer. Then again, my reason was technical, in that my cable provider didn’t allow the protocols required for my streaming cam to work. I am working on alternative options as we speak. Perhaps the Jaypoc dotCom Live Web-Cam will be back online, though I have yet to decide if I want it to run 24/7 as it once did… Perhaps i’ll try it again for a while.

  Thinking back over dinner, with the community cocktail sauce, eating with my parents the subject of double dipping never comes up. Yet, if this meal were with my friends, the double-dipping-police would be in full effect. Do I think that much more of my parents or that much less of my friends? lol

  And now for another episode of Cooking with Jaypoc….

  I wasn’t as happy tonight. The food tasted great, but the chicken was too well done.

  I made my famous coconut chicken… Chicken cutlets soaked in Malibu Coconut Rum for approximately a half hour (or more if you have time. I didn’t. Dad was hungry!) and then cook in a frying pan over pineapples…BUT, I didn’t have pineapples so I tried it over cantaloupe. The only fruit we had in the house. Time to go food shopping!

  I think I’ll stick to the pineapples as the cantaloupe didn’t add as much as the pineapple does.

  I served it with cooked green-beans (yuck! I don’t eat anything green unless raw. It’s a rule I rarely break) and Shrimp Cocktail appetizer (Cleverly arranged around a large martini glass with the cocktail sauce in the glass. Altogether, the meal was pretty good.

  So, when are you coming over for supper?

  Okay. I’m all ready to go out and I hear the Yahoo! Messenger chime coming from my room. I thought that I signed out of Yahoo! but okay… obviously not. I go to my room and someone asks, hi, are you there. I reply yes… they ask my asl… then they say they saw my profile and thought I’d wanna chat. This is already suspicious because if they saw my profile, they know I’m 27 Male and from New York…. so I make a random comment and of course she tells me how horny she is….

  DAMN PORN BOTS!

  What are these people thinking? Do they really get any business from this? argh! You can’t go into a Yahoo Chat room without being flooded by horny chat-scripts and now you can’t even be logged in without hearing from them. Yahoo! needs to do something about this fast! or they’re going to lose the market like ICQ. I used to use it all the time until it was taken over by spammers/porn advertisers.

  Just in from Jillians… Workin’ on a few levels of Pump it Up…. They upgraded the machine so a bunch of the levels I wanted arent there anymore, but there’s a bunch of new ones… I’m getting better but still not as good as I am at Dance Dance Revolution! It felt like I was headin’ home much earlier, but I didnt realize that it was 12:15 or so when I left… I’m exhausted…
